community development

Community Development is central to chase doncaster's ability to sustain itself, its facilities and its infrastructure.

Achieving City & Guilds Accreditation in 2007 was key to chase's development as a community organisation.

Future community development aims include creating a pathway into adulthood for people with learning differences through skills development and enterprise.

Chase doncaster offers a positive and interesting environment at its Horticulture Centre for service users to enjoy whilst developing a work ethic and practicing and learning new skills.

about us

One February evening in 1994, a group of concerned tenants from Carr House Allotments met to discuss the future of the site.

So began the latest chapter of allotmenteering and tenant organisation in Hyde Park, Doncaster.

what people say about us

"Jamie joined the team at chase in the Autumn of 2020. He is enjoying learning new skills and being with the group. Chase is a much needed service for young adults with learning differences enabling them to continue building on what they have already achieved, learn new skills and socialise with their peers. It is essential for young people leaving Special Educational Schools/ Colleges to have a place to go to carry on with their learning and develop their independence. A Skills and Enterprise Centre would be a tremendous asset for this growing group of people in Doncaster, enabling them to move forward and lead a more independent life."
