The garden is divided into equal parts, with Yang foods such as root vegetables and Yin foods such as Brassicas growing in harmony.

The land is cultivated once every three years and is covered in landscape fabric for the intervening period.

A policy of no-dig is maintained to preserve the structure of the soil.

The Macrobiotic Diet is concerned with eating seasonal foods, therefore careful planning is required to ensure balance is maintained.
